TechVendorIndex is a structured, navigable catalogue of enterprise software products, IT service providers, head-to-head vendor comparisons, and region-specific guides. We exist to help technology buyers — CIOs, IT directors, procurement teams, and engineering leaders — move through a noisy market faster.
Every category page lists the practical decision criteria that matter for that buying process. Every comparison page is a direct, like-for-like read on two products. Every regional guide is curated for the local market.
Vendors cannot pay for inclusion, position, or favourable language. We do not run sponsored placements, paid reviews, or "premium" tiers.
We make money from advertising that is clearly marked, from referral fees on enterprise software purchases where the buyer has already made a decision, and from research subscriptions. We do not accept payment from vendors in exchange for inclusion or for editorial influence on category rankings, comparison outcomes, or recommendations.
Each software category and service category is assembled from a combination of public market data, vendor disclosures, customer review aggregation, analyst coverage, and our own editorial assessment of where a product or provider is genuinely competitive. We do not score vendors on a single composite number; we describe what each one is good for and who it tends to suit. Read our full methodology for a more detailed explanation of how we build categories, rank vendors, and update rankings over time.
TechVendorIndex is maintained by a small team of former CIOs, software analysts, and enterprise practitioners. We update categories quarterly and rebuild major comparisons after each significant product release. If you spot an error, contact us via the contact page.
If you represent a software vendor or service provider and your product or firm is not listed in a category where it belongs, you can request inclusion via List Your Company. Listing is free; the only criterion is that the product meets the category definition and serves the enterprise market.
TechVendorIndex is built primarily for three audiences: enterprise technology buyers shortlisting software or services, procurement and vendor-management teams running competitive evaluations, and analyst and advisory teams who need a structured starting point for market scans. The site is also used by journalists covering the enterprise tech market, by students of technology strategy, and by consulting practices building practice-area knowledge bases.
We are not a review aggregator. We do not run vendor surveys for hire. We do not produce sponsored research. We do not sell leads from buyer activity on the site. We do not host paid pitches from vendors. We do not run vendor-sponsored events under the TechVendorIndex banner. These restrictions exist to keep the editorial position independent.
The editorial team is small and deliberately senior. Each category is owned by a single editor with prior practitioner experience in that space. Editorial decisions are reviewed by a second editor before publishing. Category-level data is sourced from a mix of vendor documentation, customer interviews, analyst coverage, and direct product evaluation where access permits. We publish our methodology so that readers can assess for themselves how the rankings and descriptions are produced.
If you are a practising enterprise technology buyer and want to contribute case studies, category insight, or to flag where our coverage is missing or weak, please contact the editorial team. Buyer-side contributors are credited with attribution unless they prefer to remain anonymous. We do not pay for contributions, but we do incorporate validated buyer feedback into our category rankings.
