Overview
BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access (PRA) provides controlled, audited remote access for employees, contractors, and third-party vendors to internal systems. The product is descended from the Bomgar Privileged Access platform acquired by BeyondTrust in 2018. PRA is widely used to replace VPN-based vendor access with a brokered, jump-server-style architecture that records every privileged session and integrates with the broader BeyondTrust Total Privileged Access Management portfolio.
BeyondTrust competes directly with CyberArk and Delinea in the PAM market, with PRA representing the strongest differentiator for vendor and third-party access scenarios. The platform supports RDP, SSH, VNC, web, and protocol-tunnelled access through a single broker, with credential injection so users never see the underlying credentials. BeyondTrust also offers Password Safe (credential vault), Privilege Management for Windows and Mac (endpoint privilege management), and DevOps Secrets Safe.
